Frequently asked questions

Why does email deliverability matter for cold email to motivated sellers?

If your emails land in spam, it doesn't matter how good your list or copy is — the seller never sees it. Deliverability is the layer underneath everything else in a cold email campaign, determined by your domain's SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration plus your sending IP's reputation on spam blacklists.

What is SPF and why do I need it?

SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a DNS record that tells receiving mail servers which servers are allowed to send email on behalf of your domain. Without it, your emails are far more likely to be flagged as spam or spoofed.

What is DMARC and why do I need it?

DMARC tells receiving mail servers what to do with email that fails SPF or DKIM checks, and gives you visibility into who's sending mail as your domain. Most cold email domains should run DMARC at policy quarantine or reject.

How do I know if my domain is blacklisted?

Blacklists (DNSBLs) are public databases of IPs and domains flagged for sending spam. Being listed on even one reputable blacklist can tank your inbox placement. This tool checks your domain and sending IP against major blacklists including Spamhaus, SpamCop, Barracuda, and SURBL.
